Hello there,
To put it
simply, this blog was made as a way for me to vent and contemplate about
rap/hip hop in a larger forum. What I will be attempting to do is create a
place where people interested in rap can come and discuss their thoughts and
opinions. That being said, the concept of this blog might change over time, as
this is my first blog, but rest assured that rap will always be the main
subject here.
You will
find several types of posts here, including:
- Album reviews
- Thoughts on individual songs
- Thoughts on rap in general
- Support for various artists
- Guests posts
- Occasional submissions (which will be heavily reviewed)
- Bias, a lot of bias
With all of
that listed I should say take everything with a grain of salt. Tone will definitely
be inconsistent, ranging from humor to serious to occasionally angry, depending
on the subject matter. Also, posts will range from underground to mainstream,
though at this point I am far more familiar with random underground artists. MOST IMPORTANTLY: I am not a professional anything, except college student.
About Me: DND
Now, on to the least important
person here, me. I don’t really like giving ANY information about myself, so…yeah.
But if you must call me something, I would like it to be DND. Why? I dunno.
What does it stand for? I know, but aint saying.
Moving on, I will reveal that I’m
in college and majoring in English. Also, I love rap, but equally love metal
(deathcore and its surrounding genres), and have been to more metal concerts
than rap. Does that diminish my credibility in writing this blog? HECKS NO!
This is a place to express my thoughts on rap/hip hop, and how entrenched I am
in the culture should not matter as much as my observations of what I do see. (Also
I will attempt to censure myself). So… that’s all for now, good day sirs or
